We are committed to providing a Covid Safe Event.
Your wellbeing is our priority and we will hold the inaugural Tumbarumba to Rosewood Marathon in accordance with NSW Health COVID-19 Safety Plan in line with current government health advice.

1. Do not attend if you are required to self-isolate (eg awaiting a COVID test result or have visited a hotspot in the last 14 days).
2. Do not attend if you are feeling unwell.
3. Maintain social distancing of 1.5m from other people where possible.
4. You MUST wear a face masks while on the bus to your start. Please bring your own face mask.
5. Follow good hygiene measures such as (wearing a face mask) cover coughs and sneezes with elbow or a tissue, avoid touching face, eyes, nose and mouth, dispose of tissues hygienically.
6. Hugging or high 5’s are discouraged.
7. Do not share drink bottles or other equipment.
8. Wash your hands with soap and water after running, and before eating.
9. ENJOY YOUR RUN.


Please adhere to running/walking etiquette and keep to the left at all times.

Please do not run/walk in groups of more than two side by side.

The Rail Trail is a DOG FREE trail PLEASE LEAVE YOUR DOG/S AT HOME.

The trail will be open to the public so please be aware of others users such as cyclists.


Approximate times for the presentations :-
11:30am for the Marathon and Half Marathon then
12:00 for the 10km run and finishing with the
1pm for the 10km walk.
There are heaps of spot prizes to also be won so please hang around after your run/walk for the presentations.


Marathon 42.195km

Race Bibs and Timing Device:

Bibs will be available for collection from 2pm to 5pm on Friday 22 April 2022 at the Tumbarumba Tourist Information centre and from 6am at Tumbarumba Hub near the Busses.

Bibs will have a timing chip on the back of them please wear you bib on the front of your body.

Start location and time

The marathon will be a mass start at 7am from the Tumbarumba Rail Trail track head, western end of Figures Street. There are two toilets at the start, however you are encouraged to use the toilets at Tumbarumba Hub before boarding the bus.

A pre-race briefing will be held at the start at 6:45am.

NOTE:  There is NO PARKING AT THE STARTAll parking is at Tumbarumba Hub.  There will be free busses from the Hub to transport all competitors to the start. THE BUS LEAVES THE HUB AT 6:30am.  Please do not drive up to the start to drop runners off, you must catch the busses. Please bring a face mask to wear on the bus.

There will be a bag drop available which will transport bags to Rosewood Rail Trail track head turn-around.  The organisers take no responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property and items.

THE MARATHON FINISHES AT TUMBARUMBA RAIL TRAIL TRACK HEAD (not Tumbarumba Park as previously planned).  Busses will then transport you to Tumbarumba Hub or you can walk to the Hub as a cool down.  There will be food stalls in the Hub for your enjoyment.

Finish cut off time is 2pm, 7 hours after the start time.

Prequalification

There are no prequalification’s required for this race.

You must be 18 years of age or older to enter this race.

Food and Drink stalls will be available at the Hub.


Half marathon 21km

Race Bibs and Timing Device:

Bibs will be available for collection from 2pm to 5pm on Friday 22 April 2022 at the Tumbarumba Tourist Information centre and from 6am at Tumbarumba Hub near the Busses.

Bibs will have a timing chip on the back of them please wear you bib on the front of your body.

Start location and time;

The half marathon will be a mass start from Rosewood Rail Trail Track Head at 9:15am.  Apple Transport Services will be providing free bus from Mate St at Tumbarumba Hub to transport half marathon competitors to Rosewood.  Busses leave the Hub at 8:15am, please bring a face mask to wear on the bus.

Course briefing will be held at the Rosewood Rail Trail Track Head at 9am all competitors must be present at the briefing.

THE HALF MARATHON FINISHES AT TUMBARUMBA RAIL TRAIL TRACK HEAD (not Tumbarumba Park as previously planned).  Busses will then transport you from the finish to Tumbarumba Hub or you can walk to the park as a cool down.  There will be food stalls in the Hub for your enjoyment.

NOTE:  THERE IS NO PARKING AT THE TUMBARUMBA RAIL TRAIL TRACK HEAD.  ALL PARKING IS AROUND TUMBARUMBA HUB.

Finish cut off time is 2pm.

Prequalification;

There are no prequalification’s required for this race.

You must be 16 years of age or older to enter this race.

Food and Drink stalls will be available at the Hub.

10km run

The 10km run will be a MASS START FROM TUMBARUMBA RAIL TRAIL TRACK HEAD WESTERN END OF FIGURES STREET AT 10:30AM (not Tumbarumba Park as previously planned). There are only two toilets at the start you are encouraged to use the toilets at Tumbarumba Hub before boarding the bus.

Course briefing will be held at Tumbarumba Rail Trail Track Head / the start at 10:15am all competitors must be present at the briefing.

NOTE:  There is NO PARKING AT THE START.  All parking is at Tumbarumba Hub.  There will be free busses from the Hub to transport all competitors to the start. THE BUS LEAVES THE HUB AT 9:55am.  Please do not drive up to the start to drop runners off, you must catch the busses. Please bring a face mask to wear on the bus.

10km walk

Family entrants;

For Family entrants there will be one bib (one timing chip) per family entry. 

If you wish to have individual times then please enter each person as an individual entry (there will be an entry fee for each person as opposed to a single family fee). 

A family is classed as 2 adults and 3 children.  Children under 12 are free.

Start location and time;

The 10km walk will be a MASS START FROM THE RAIL TRAIL TRACK HEAD WESTERN END OF FIGURES STREET AT 11:00AM (not Tumbarumba Park as previously planned). There are only two toilets at the start you are encouraged to use the toilets at Tumbarumba Hub before boarding the bus.

Course briefing will be held at the start at 10:45am all competitors must be present at the briefing.

Limited Entry On The Day for all courses

There will be a limited number of Enter On The Day. These will be available at the registration area in Tumbarumba Park between 6am and 7:45am for marathon and half marathon entrants and 7:30 and 9:30am for 10km run and walk to register. Correct cash payments only will be accepted.
