Age
Runners must be at least 18 years on the day of the race.
Hume & Hovell Ultra – 2024 AUTRA 100 Mile National Championship Qualifying Experience
Runners must have completed at least an 80 km event in the last (36) thirty six months. Evidence of this must be supported at the time of entering. This year the Hume & Hovell Ultra will be hosting the 2024 AUTRA 100 Mile National Championships.
Runner Eligibility
As from 2020, these Annual Championships are now open to all Australian residents. AUTRA membership is no longer a prerequisite to qualify for these events. The Championships will now include competitors who are both AUTRA members and non-AUTRA members. The eligibility criteria does not include visitors to Australia on work permits, student visas, or visitor visas.
100km Qualifying Experience
Runners must have completed a marathon in less than 6 hours, or achieved an equivalent performance, in the three years preceding the day of the race. Evidence of this must be supplied at the time of entering. If prospective runners are unsure of whether their qualifying performances will be sufficient, they are encouraged to seek pre-approval by emailing details to: Race Director Peter FitzPatrick – peterfitz184@gmail.combefore entry. The final decision on whether an entrant has acceptable qualifying performance or experience will rest with the Race Director.
50km Qualifying Experience
The 50km event is an opportunity to participate in an ultra with a generous cut off time. Participants are expected to have previous experience in an endurance event. If prospective runners are unsure of their suitability, they are encouraged to seek pre-approval by emailing details to: Race Director Peter FitzPatrick – peterfitz184@gmail.com before entry. The final decision on whether an entrant has acceptable qualifying performance or experience will rest with the Race Director.
22km Qualifying Experience
Runners must have run in a 10 km event. There is a generous cut-off, as this event is to encourage people to get into long distance trail running and to mix with 100 mile, 100km and 50km Ultra runners.
